Behind the curtain

Much like Los Angeles, the world of marketing is simultaneously tiny and immense. Recognizing a need for true conversation among peers that goes beyond 140 characters, Marc Ladin set out to create more opportunities for local marketing leaders to come together and learn from each other. With trusted colleague Linda Souza, the two launched Chief Marketers Los Angeles in 2015.

Marc Ladin is CMO of CallFire, a provider of voice and text connectivity products to over 100,000 businesses. Marc has over 20 years of software, hardware and services marketing experience for both publicly traded and privately held technology organizations. Prior to CallFire, Marc served as CMO of TigerText, CMO of Everbridge, vice president of marketing and sales for Internet America, and co-founder and president of Yfinium. His expertise and leadership was instrumental in guiding those companies through periods of rapid expansion to achieve their growth goals. Marc holds a BSE in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Linda Souza is vice president of marketing for Deep 6 Analytics and founder of 42muses, a firm focused on helping startups build resourceful, growth-oriented marketing strategies and programs. Linda has 19 years of experience in technology marketing for startups and has helped lead companies to successful acquisition, mergers, and IPOs. Previously, Linda served as vice president of marketing for Central Desktop, director of marketing at Everbridge, and product manager of globalization at Ariba (formerly FreeMarkets), an SAP company. Linda earned a master’s degree in global marketing communication from Emerson College in Brussels, Belgium.
